During the weekend of 17th and 18th September 2022, the Isle of Wight Steam Railway had their Autumn Gala which was commemorating the 70th anniversary of the closure of the Ventnot West branch. They had two locomotives running, W24 Calbourne (Class O2) and W11 Newport (Class A1/x 'Terrier') which both used to run on the old Ventnor branch.
